It all started when customs confiscated my perfume.
On a flight to Lisbon, I lost my favorite perfume. The bottle was too big for hand luggage. I watched as it disappeared into a bin with other "over 100 ml" items, and at that moment, I knew this could be done better.
A week later I started experimenting with solid perfume in my kitchen. No alcohol, no leakage, and small enough to fit in any jacket pocket. Two years, countless test batches, and six scents later, we will be available at Etos from May 18th.
From a simple idea to a new way of wearing perfume.
The idea originated somewhere between Schiphol and Lisbon. During a trip, something went wrong at security at Schiphol. My favourite perfume bottle wasn't allowed through control and ended up directly in the bin. On the return flight, a simple question arose: why is perfume still mainly composed of alcohol, water, and fragile glass bottles? That moment marked the beginning of STIKKO. The initial idea: a compact perfume stick with concentrated fragrance, without alcohol, without leakage, and easy to carry. Not a spray, but a solid perfume that fits a modern lifestyle.
The first small batch was tested by friends, family, and a small community. Their feedback ultimately determined which scents would be the first to become part of the STIKKO collection. From the beginning, one thing was central: reinventing perfume in a way that is more sustainable, practical, and skin-friendly.
The next step
STIKKO is growing from a small project into a real brand. Production is starting in Europe, the collection is expanding, and the first retail partners are joining. What began as solid perfume is slowly becoming bigger than just fragrance. STIKKO is building a new generation of personal care products in stick form, without unnecessary water, without alcohol, and designed for daily use. Compact. Sustainable. Always ready to go. And this is just the beginning.
